TEIN Dampers - Street BasisZ: TEIN Street Basis Damper is the evolution of the popular BASIC coilover model. It incorporates new internal and external components, newly developed coatings and new manufacturing processes.
TEIN engineers have spent many hours developing new seals and internal components to improve durability and product life. This was one of our major goals for the new model.
Newly developed “ZT” coating for improved durability and hassle-free ride height adjustment. TEIN developed this coating in-house after stringent test and analysis procedures. Our engineers tested different coats, application methods, cleaning processes, etc… in our own brine salt water testing machine which simulates heavy solvents/ road salts used in cold weather climates.
Slip-fit threaded adjustment tube. Allows for damper body and threaded sleeve to be thoroughly coated for rust/ corrosion protection.
The slip-fit allows a more thorough coating on the threaded section as well as powder coated damper body.
Revised Aluminum Spring Seat and Delrin Thrust Washer are light weight and durable. This combination allows for smooth ride height adjustment. The new spring seats have a larger contact surface area and eliminate the need for a rubber spring seat.

Good for price
I am 18 years old and on a budget. I wanted coilovers for the convenience of high adjustment. I purchased these 2 months ago. I have mine down about 3/4 of the way. The ride isn't stiff by any means. Over big bumps the front feels a little bouncy. By big bumps I mean railroad tracks. Overall, If you are on a budget these coilovers are very good. In my opinion I wish I spent the extra $100 for the adjustable dampening on the street advanced. Only because of the fact that I wish it was a little more stiff. But, if you want a comfortable feel, that is almost the same as stock, these coilovers are perfect for you.

Great coils for the money
These are a fantastic option for those on a budget. I didn't have a ton of money to spend on coilovers, but I didn't want to get something cheap that would break or ride like shit. These do none of that. The install was fairly straightforward and they ride like a dream. At the moment, I have mine set about half way down and it's perfect for what I want to do with this car. I don't rub or scrape and the ride isn't uncomfortably stiff either. Overall a highly recommended product.
