Product Description
RV6 Gen 2 V3 HFPCs™ (High Flow Precats) Kit (04-08 TL)
DETAILS
Introducing the new High Flow Precats (HFPCs) for the 2nd Generation of J-series engines. Completely designed using 3D CAD and CMM, the transition from to high flow cat is made from precision casted 304 stainless steel. This allows for optimum turbulence free flow with no sacrifice in strength. The castings are no thinner than 5mm at their thinnest point. We are confident that the HFPCs can handle any abuse without cracking. These high flow precats are a good alternative to precat deletes since they flow while still maintaining a semi stock exhaust level. They also prevent any associated with removing cats.

V3 HFPC
I’m gonna address two things with this product. The first is if you’re concerned at all with throwing a code or making it so that you won’t pass an emissions test with these installed as long as they are put in correctly and the sensors are put back correctly you will not have those issues so no need to worry there if you were. Second is sound/power. Everyone is different when it comes to sound so obviously this is subjective but I have the HFPC, the V1.5 ERPM 2.5” full cat back system with type S tips and a J pipe. For me the sound is great, deep tones, aggressive and definitely on the louder side. However, at lower speeds 30-45 there is a rasp typically from 2nd to 3rd when giving it some gas and there is a fair amount of drone overall. As an example I have an aftermarket stereo and my cruising volume was typically at about volume level 20 and now I’m at volume level 30 to compensate. My recommendation to get rid of the rasp and lower the drone if wanted is to get a resonator installed, maybe two depending on your preference. Vibrant makes a great resonator and it’s inexpensive. As far as power goes there’s a noticeable difference in responsiveness at both low and highway speeds. Overall this is a great product and I highly recommend.

RV6 HFPCD’s
Finally got around to a solid work day on my car. RV6 HFPCD’s and test pipe were on the menu. Had a friend helping me with everything and took our time with it. After installing the new components, we both took it for a test drive and WOW !!!!! Instantly felt I had my power back plus some. I highly recommend the RV6 HFPCD’s for your TL.

RV6 HFPC
Install was relatively easy, car is slightly louder after install. Installed these because O2 bung on my stock cat stripped, so I can’t really comment on performance gains. They look good and feel well made.
